I'm with Sophie!!!

 

It is a beautiful day in Coral Gables, Florida! The sun is shinning and there is a slight breeze! Are you Jealous? I'm super excited to be here with my bffl. I've already met some really cool peeps.  

I've known this punk for 12 years! 

The plane ride was okay, I read three magazines, and meet two kids who go to the University of Michigan.

Now Sophie is going to tell a story. Once upon a time, a long time ago, a small redheaded girl moved into a her new home. She was not there for more than a day before the evil JAIME (who lived down the street) captured her away. They were best friends ever since. :D Ps. Jaime's twin brother was sad that the redheaded girl didn't have a brother. He played in the mulch with his truck instead.

Babel.

The movie I watched for class is called Babel. The movie had three different stories and at the end of the movie all three stories come together as one.

My initial reaction to this movie was that it was pointless. I didn't exactly know what was going on and I also thought that some of the stories were a bit confusing. For example: The Asian girl and her story, I was completely lost the whole time. I didn't understand what was going on. She seems to be lost and confused as to whats going on in the world.  

I think that this film was to inform and entertain the audience. I say this because there was a lot of action going on and it will draws in the viewers.

Tuesday.

Today is Tuesday! woohoo. Tuesday's and and Thursday's are the worst! Waking up SUPER early and then walking to class in blizzard outside! Just kidding I'm exaggerating just a little bit. But really..

Dearest Mother Nature, 
I just wanted to let you know that it was rude to tease me like that. You can't go from 50 and sunny to 30 and freezing! So if you wouldn't tease me again I would really appreciate it!!

3 DAYS!
Only 3 more days till the warm summer sun, and I can finally escape the snow! Well... only for 6 days.

In class mumbo jumbo

In class today we took the reading quizzes, and we normally take them when we were assigned a reading assignment. We got into groups of six, and discussed a different piece, and then we analyzed a frame of the comic and presented it to the class. My group did the comic Sin City. We had to write 2-3 questions about the comic. The questions were:

1. Why is the comic printed in black and white? and 

2. Why are the text box tilted? 

My group used question 2, and we said that the text boxes were tilted because its showing suspense in the frame.

A Good Day.

THE SUN IS SHINNING!

 It was very very hard to get out of my bed this morning. I looked out the window and thought that it was going to be another gloomy day... As I was climbing down the ladder I saw some orange in the sky! My morning had just got better. I'm sick and tired of having these freezing days, and it being super gloomy. Today's high is suppose to be 40 degrees! woohoo!! That's so warm!! Yes its not the nice warm 80 degree weather that I would normally like but I'll take it!

First Flower. 

What I first got out of this piece was that its very dark. For some reason I really liked it.  I don't think that it was because of the bright pink flowers blossoming, but there was just something about it, that made me choose this one.  The title was called the first flower, so I thought that maybe it was the first flower after winter, or after something bad happened, and it was a sign of hope. 

Questions about the piece. 
1. Why is the picture so dark?
2. What does the darkness represent?

I think that the darkness represents something bad, and the flower is representing a sign of hope.

Seventeen days!


70-80 degree weather. Flip flops, shorts, and tank tops. If only the days would go by faster. Its time for sspprriinnngg bbrreeaaakkk! This year I'm going to Miami Florida to go visit one of my best friends! I'm super excited. I usually only get to see her once a year when she comes to Michigan. Its hard for us to see each other since she's in Florida, and I'm in Michigan.  

Seventeen days... until I'm on an airplane. My plane leaves at 7:58 pm and arrives at the Miami airport around 11:00 pm.

Tuesday

It's Tuesday Morning, and I would say that it is rather early for class.  It's super cold outside so it was hard enough to force myself out of bed, and come to class.  All I can think about it the blizzard that we're suppose to get this evening, and into tomorrow.  Everyone is saying that classes will be canceled but one can only hope.  After living in the Grosse Pointe Public School System snow day's didn't come too often. Yes I will hope for one, but I've also learned not to get my hopes up too high, because they might just fall back down.

Oh p.s. Only 25 more days until spring break!
